As a massive fan of all things mythology (I may or may not be working on a new WIP that features Aphrodite π€«), when I saw this tag I couldn’t not do it!
I found this tag over on Bookbum and thought it was a brilliant idea!
Rules:

π Tag as many people as you want, but please share the love.
Questions:
ZEUS: KING OF THE GODS β YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK
Oooh, right now I think it has to be The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy π It was my first five star read of the year and, alongside being beautifully illustrated, the messages it gives us really helped me out of negative thoughts!
HERA: QUEEN OF THE GODS β A BADASS FEMALE CHARACTER
You’re probably sick of hearing this by now but it has to be Vasya from the Winternight trilogy by Katherine Arden. I’ve been obsessed with this character since I picked up the first book and I think she’ll always have a special place on my bookshelves.
JANUS: GOD OF BEGINNINGS β YOUR FAVOURITE DEBUT(S)
(little Roman interloper π)
The one that springs to mind is The Chalk Man by C J Tudor. I picked this book up on a whim one day and loved it so much that I’ve picked up everything she’s written since!
ATHENA: GODDESS OF WISDOM β YOUR FAVOURITE NON-FICTION BOOK
I’ve read some brilliant ones recently (and have a few more in my TBR pile) but as of right now it has to be How to Fail by Elizabeth Day. If you’re someone who struggles with the idea that you’re a bit of a failure when something goes ‘wrong’ then I can’t recommend this book enough.
APHRODITE: GODDESS OF LOVE β A BOOK YOU ADORE AND RECOMMEND EVERYONE READ (OTHER THAN YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK!)
It has to be Everything I Know About Love by Dolly Alderton. I’ve already recommended this book to so many people (both friends and customers) and will never stop shouting about how much I adore Dolly!
HADES: GOD OF THE UNDERWORLD β AN EVIL BOOK YOU WISH DIDNβT EXIST
This was a hard one! I haven’t really read many books that I’ve hated or DNF’d but I guess it would be How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff. It’s not a long book but I just couldn’t get through it!
POSEIDON: GOD OF THE SEA & EARTHQUAKES β A BEAUTIFUL & GROUND-BREAKING BOOK
I’d have to say The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo. I haven’t read many books that are written in the format of slam poetry (even though I know there are others out there) but since this one won the Carnegie Medal in 2019 I’ve seen so many people giving it a try. Plus it’s fantastically written and has a brilliant story!
APOLLO: GOD OF THE ARTS β A BEAUTIFUL BOOK COVER
I’m a sucker for pretty covers but one of my favourites is The Familiars by Stacey Halls π
HYPNOS: GOD OF SLEEP β A BOOK SO BORING YOU ALMOST FELL ASLEEP
I’m not really one for much classic literature (just not my thing!) so I’d probably say Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I know this has such a cult following but I tend to want a bit of something more. I did love Pride and Prejudice and Zombies though which is a re-telling!
HERMES: MESSENGER OF THE GODS β A BOOK YOU SPED THROUGH
Again, it’s another book I talk about all the time – Once by Morris Gleitzman. It’s a pretty short book and the story had me hooked from the first page!

What a fun tag! I love Greek Myths too and really enjoyed reading your answers, Hannah. I bought The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy for a friend’s birthday. You’re right, it’s a wonderful book that can brighten anyone’s dark days.
I might have to do this tag. π
