Hey guys! It’s been so so long since I’ve taken part in a tag post that I’ve got a few to catch up on. Here’s a super fun one that I was tagged in by the wonderful Vicky (from Roaring Bookworm) and the incredible Angela (from Hiding Behind Books) who are two of my all time favourite book bloggers and are generally awesome people who you guys should definitely be following if you’re not already!
THE RULES:
Answer the questions given to you by your nominator.
Make up your own questions and tag others.
ANGELA’S QUESTIONS:
Would you rather be stuck on an island without books, or stuck in a library full of books you can’t read?
Oooooh, maybe stuck on an island without books as there would be less temptation? 😂
Would you rather read all the books except those written by your favourite author, or read only the books written by your favourite author and nothing else? Coincidentally, who is your favourite author?!
This is so tough! At the moment, I’d say that my favourite author is Morris Gleitzman and I can’t imagine not being able to read his books.
Would you rather read a book with a cliffhanger, or read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
Cliffhanger definitely! I’m so bad with heartbreaking endings, I’ve never read (or watched) the end of Nicholas Sparks’ The Best of Me purely because I know that I’d sob 😂
Would you rather throw your favourite book into the ocean, or have a friend never return it?
Maybe have a friend never return it so that I have an excuse to buy a fancy edition of it or something, much less painful!
Who would you rather save from Lord Voldemort, Hagrid or Neville?
Arghh, what a mean question! They’re both far too precious! I feel like maybe I’d save Neville because he’s so young and has a whole life ahead of him but I’d also want Hagrid to know I tried.
Would you rather write a book that never sells, or hire a ghostwriter who would guarantee you some bestsellers?
A book that never sells. While I understand that some people use ghostwriters for their own personal reasons, if a book that had my name on it was classed as a ‘success’, I’d want it to be because I wrote it.
Would you rather be with your (favourite!) book boyfriend, or your real-life crush?
Hmmm, I haven’t really had a favourite book boyfriend for a while so maybe the real-life crush? (Henry Cavill, where u @?)
Would you rather read the first half of a book and never the ending, or the last half of the book but never the beginning?
The last half and then I could spend ages filling in the blanks at the beginning!
Would you rather spend the day with your favourite character, or spend the day with your favourite author?
I’m just finished reading The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden so spending the day with her, or Vasya, would be amazing! I’m just not going to choose 😂
Would you rather lose the ability to read new books, or lose the ability to reread books?
I’d much rather lose the ability to reread books – think of all of the new stories you’d miss out on!
VICKY’S QUESTIONS:
Would you rather miss out on a meeting with your favourite author, or meet your least favourite book character?
I’d rather meet my least favourite book character because I could at least tell them how awful they are 😂
Would you rather go on a date with Edward Cullen from Twilight, or Cormac McLaggen from Harry Potter?
CORMAC!! Hands down.
Would you rather never be allowed to visit a library again, or never be able to watch films again?
I can’t actually remember the last time I visited a library so I guess I’d rather never do that? (*note to self: GO TO A LIBRARY ASAP)
Would you rather have your favourite character die at the end of a series, or have them be miserable for the rest of their lives?
Omg deep question! I guess die? Is that bad? Or maybe just selfish of me as it would be harder to watch them be miserable forever?
Would you rather watch Fantastic Beasts or the original Harry Potter films?
The originals! I really love the expansion of the world but you can’t beat the original Harry Potter films!
Would you rather have a Kindle that always breaks down on you, or have to carry the hardback versions of whatever books you’re reading around with you?
Ooooh, I guess carrying the hardbacks – it seems much less frustrating!
Would you rather be stuck in your favourite novel, or meet your favourite character in real life?
I guess be stuck in my favourite novel (which changes all the time!) as not only would that be a bit of escapism from reality, I’d probably even be able to dress up in some fancy af clothing (if we go with Katherine Arden’s Winternight Trilogy).
Would you rather only ever read romance novels, or only ever read thrillers?
Hmm, I’m not really one for chicklit kind of romance, so I guess I’d rather only read thrillers – love a bit of crime!
MY QUESTIONS:
Would you rather go to Hogwarts or Narnia?
Would you rather be an author or a publisher?
Would you rather have your favourite book turned into a movie or a TV show? Also, what is your favourite book?!
Would you rather dog-ear your pages or never be able to mark your page?
Would you rather be a character in Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter? (What kind of character would you be?)
Would you only be able to read one book forever or to never read the same book twice?
Would you rather lend a book to someone who dog-ears pages or stains the pages?
Would you rather have dinner with your favourite character or your favourite author? Who would it be?
Would you rather read a book that ends with a huge cliffhanger or read one where your favourite character dies?
Would you rather live in a library or a bookshop?
