Blogmas Day 18 – Bookish Stocking Fillers/Christmas Giveaway!

Hey everyone! Welcome to another day of Blogmas 2018! Today is an exciting day as I can finally announce my Christmas giveaway! I’ve put together a few prizes (so more opportunities to win, yay!) with a selection of stationery, bookish bits and books – stay tuned for the rules! ๐ŸŽ

The main part of this post is to give you guys a few ideas for some simple (and not too expensive) stocking fillers for the bookworms in your life! I’m pretty sure that it’s safe to say that anyone who loves to read will appreciate anything to do with books or maybe even writing! Here are a few examples! ๐ŸŽ„๐Ÿ“š

I’ve tried to include a range of things in this list to appeal to the many kinds of bookworms – the readers, the writers and the superfans.

Something that appeals to everyone would be bookmarks/page savers. Now, you can find these in pretty much every bookshop and are always popular accessories for readers.

Here is a selection of some of my favourites! The larger book holder comes from Waterstones and retails for ยฃ6.99 and the smaller version is priced at only ยฃ2.99. The cat bookmark is one of my personal favourites and, although the exact one isn’t available to buy any more, many similar designs can be found!

Fun stickers and pins are always fun little gifts to give at Christmas as a way to add something to a set of presents or to find something humorous as a little joke. These gorgeous stickers and pins are from Bookapotamus and are both gorgeous and chuckle-worthy – perfect stocking fillers for your bookworms!

Christmassy books are another favourite thing of mine to give at this time of year, just the thing for getting into the festive spirit. You could always add one or two to a stocking to give someone a lovely cosy read to enjoy during their time off work or school.

One that I’d definitely recommend for any bookworms into YA is Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell. This book features two wonderfully festive stories and is the perfect size to fit into a stocking! This book typically retails at ยฃ4.99 so is perfect for a little extra gift.

Now, if you’re anything like me and like to do a bit of writing with your reading, then you could always look at some fun little supplies for that. I always think that getting a brand new notebook is so exciting – so many ideas to fill it with! With this stocking filler, you can go as fancy or plain as you like. A lovely, lower-priced version would be the gorgeous blue, lined notebooks from Waterstones (retailing for only ยฃ2.99) that even have space for a name or title! Perfect for planning your days, or maybe even your next novel!

To go along with a brand new notebook, you could always add something to write in it with! Waterstones are currently selling some adorable pencil sets, perfect for the readers and writers in your life! Here we have the Bookish Pencils and the Storyteller Pencils which both retail for ยฃ6.99 each and feature some really cute phrases.

With these gift ideas, you’ll be set! Honourable mentions go to:
– Book vouchers (if you’re not entirely sure what someone’s read yet)
– Reading lights (always perfect for reading before bed)
– Merch (dedicated to their favourite book series)

Now for the bit you’ve all been waiting for… THE GIVEAWAY! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ‰
