Hey guys! As you probably already know, throughout the month of November Iām shining a spotlight on thirty wonderful book bloggers ššĀ If youāre not already following them, then Iād definitely recommend that you check them out ā these guys are all such wonderful bloggers and all incredibly kind and supportive.
Today is the turn of the wonderfulĀ MercyĀ (from Mercy Me What Did I Read) who posts some fantastic book reviews on a whole range of romance titles!
–
Iām Mercy and Iām a romance geek! I run the fairly new blog where I review and discuss all things related to the genre. I started out planning to only review erotic romance and erotica but quickly realized I wanted to review all types of things/books within the romance world.
I wanted to have a place to geek out over romancelandia and related things. I was always frustrated with not having anyone to talk to about my steamy little books and decided to make my own little community.Ā I’m also pretty creative and wanted an outlet for that.

Where did your love of reading come from?
My mother and my 3rd grade English teacher.
What is your favourite book that youād recommend to anyone and everyone?
Anything by Nalini Singh and Deborah Harkness…it also depends on what type of book the reader wants to read. If they are interested in erotic romance, I’d recommendĀ Sierra Cartwright or Jasinda Wilder, but if they are looking for something LGBTQ – then MaryĀ Calmes or Anyta Sunday is a good start. Lately, people have been asking me for vampire bookĀ recommendations.
Which author (dead or alive) would you love to meet and why?
I’d love to meet and spend time with Anne Rice. She’s brilliantĀ and honest with a fierce spirit! Her work is rich and complex and has inspired so many of my other favoriteĀ authors.
What is the most memorable/sentimental book youāve read?
Nalini Singhās Guild Hunter series and J.R. Wardās Black Dagger Brotherhood series stick with me as if I lived those stories! I can still rememberĀ staying up till 2 am and crying while finishing a J.R. Ward book.
What is your favourite genre to read and favourite book from it?
Romance! It’s the one genre that makes me laugh, cry, angry, and inspired. I canāt name one book as my all-time favourite but Iām currently obsessed with Mary Calmesā Change of Heart.
What are your top tips/tricks for fitting reading around a busy schedule?
Always carry a book with you – I keep one on my kindle, another on my phone and a good oldĀ paperback in my purse.
What are your top tips/tricks for writing your own work?
Iām still mastering this one. I do hope to finish my first novel in early 2019.
What are you reading now?
Anyta Sundayās Leo Loves Aries.
What have you just finished? Did you enjoy it?
Courtney Milanās The Governess Affair. I liked it more than I expected! I haven’t found myself drawn to historical romance in a long time…I’m glad I picked this one up!
