Hey guys! As you probably already know, throughout the month of November I’m shining a spotlight on thirty wonderful book bloggers 😊📚 If you’re not already following them, then I’d definitely recommend that you check them out – these guys are all such wonderful bloggers and all incredibly kind and supportive.
Today is the turn of the lovely Eline (from Lovely Audiobooks) who posts some wonderful things about getting into audiobooks as well as giving brilliant recommendations for what to read next!
Hey! I’m Eline and I write about audiobooks. On my blog, you can find reviews, articles about the audio world and every Friday I list all of that week’s new Romance audiobook deals. I also have a Facebook group with absolutely wonderful members who share my love for binge listening on a budget.
I was looking for a review of a particular audiobook a few years ago. When I couldn’t find anything, I first had the idea that I could blog about audiobooks myself. I started taking notes here and there, but only managed to actually set up a website this year in July.
Where did your love of reading come from?
My parents used to read to me a lot. My dad always read for me in the evening when I was younger. And when I was a bit older, my mom gave me this huge box of old books that she had read when she was a teenager. I loved them. They were full of adventures!
What is your favourite book that you’d recommend to anyone and everyone?
I can’t choose just one. I have a whole bunch of favourite books. Mostly Fantasy series. Which one I recommend depends on who I’m talking to. But I like to recommend independent authors and support their work.
Which author (dead or alive) would you love to meet and why?
Neil Gaiman. He seems to be an all around amazing person.
What is your favourite genre to read and your favourite book from it?
Fantasy: The Imp series by Debra Dunbar
Romance: currently it’s Black Swan Affair by K. L. Kreig
What are your top tips/tricks for fitting reading around a busy schedule?
Audiobooks!! 😀 I rarely have time to read a book, but I listen to around 3 a week.
What are you reading now? What have you just finished? Are you enjoying/did you enjoy it?
I just finished Ball Peen Hammer by Lauren Rowe. I never before giggled through an entire book. It’s the funniest rom-com and I absolutely enjoyed it.
I hope you guys are enjoying reading this month’s series of posts as much as I’ve loved organising and collaborating with so many amazing bloggers to create them! 💖 Check back tomorrow! x
